About This Episode: A Journey Of A Thousand Miles (Begins With The Very First Step)

It's the Edisons vs. the Falcones as the families in “The Greenest House” begin the 3-month competition that will teach them how to live lighter and help save the planet – all while putting a little green back in their pockets.

In episode one, we meet the families and their coaches for the first time. We also take an inside look at each house and conduct energy audits to uncover the biggest energy sinkholes in each family’s home. The teams get some coaching on how to track their mileage and water use, and face off in the first Family-to-Family Challenge. Don’t miss the action as Carrie Edison’s lightning-fast buzzer reflexes threaten to turn the Low-Impact Trivia Challenge into mayhem!
